FCCB Ranked 54th in the Nation by American Banker Magazine

06/27/2023

MANSFIELD, PA (June 2023) For the 16th consecutive year, FCCB (First Citizens Community Bank) has been recognized by American Banker as one of the top performing community banks, ranking third in the state of Pennsylvania where they are headquartered, and 54th in the nation. For this ranking, financial institutions are grouped by asset size and ranked based on three-year average return on equity. In 2021, FCCB exceeded the $2 billion asset mark, resulting in a new peer group for comparison.

Being a top-performing bank can have several benefits for customers, employees, and shareholders. A bank that is consistently ranked as a top-performing is more likely to be financially stable, which gives customers confidence that their deposits are safe and their financial transactions will be handled securely. Similarly, successful banks often offer a wider range of products and services to meet the diverse needs of their customers. And, top-performers instill confidence in their investors.

“We prioritize excellent customer service, opportunities for career growth and advancement, above peer financial performance, regular dividend payments and capital appreciation,” noted President and CEO, Randall Black. “These tenets have all contributed to our financial successes and have established the strength necessary for us to continue operating as an independent community bank.”

Citizens Financial Services, Inc., the holding company for FCCB, began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market in June of 2022 under the Company’s current ticker symbol CZFS. Additionally, in December of 2022, CZFS was inducted into the American Bankers Association Nasdaq Community Bank Index (ABAQ), the nation's most broadly representative stock index for community banks.
